Frank’s Fish House

Frank Merrill and his youngest son Doug Merrill built this wharf and fish house at Sinnett Cove on Orr’s Island in the early 1980s. The Merrills conducted their lobster fishing operation from this location.

Both are long gone but fondly remembered. Devastating winter storms in January and February 1978 and January 2024 destroyed many other similar structures throughout Harpswell.
